Neighbour-related problems affect more than 10m Britons, according to Which? – with noise topping its list of complaints.
10% of people tackled a problem neighbour by becoming a 'nuisance' themselves.
This is understandable, since approaching neighbours in a friendly manner does not work. Mediation does not work. Complaining to Bylaws does not work. And legal action is prohibitively expensive. Noisy abusive neighbours are only too well aware of this and exploit it for all its worth. So becoming a "nuisance" oneself, may appear to be the only option.
